CD Cover Analysis

I have analysed different CD covers to get an idea of what a CD cover involves.

Basic Information:
The typical layout for an album cover would be to feature the artist/band's name and also the name of the album.  A CD single would feature the name of the artist/band and the song name.  Both would include a picture of some sort, maybe of the artist, or an object that would draw someone to the CD.

Some people may categorise an album or single to a specific genre just by how it looks.  For example, if an album cover included a band with a guitar or dark colours, then they may assume the music genre is rock.  If there is an artists dancing on the cover, with many bright colours they may assume it's pop.

The purpose of an album cover is to draw people to buy it.  This means they have to look good and professional as well as have a reasonable price.  This is very important because many people in the modern day download music track illegally - without paying for them.
